Although Phyllis was a practicing attorney for 35 years, she does not provide legal advice in her role as a mediator and she will not hand down a decision. When you attend a mediation session at PGP Mediation, you can expect Phyllis to be involved and engaged, asking questions and reframing what she hears as the most important aspects of the issue. She is equally tough on both parties, encouraging them to be realistic in their assessment of the situation and to think creatively about what unique solutions could be agreeable to everyone involved.
One benefit of using mediation is that you retain complete control of any agreement you reach. You know your situation and the feasibility of different solutions better than any third party could, so the best solutions will come from you. In fact, mediation has a success rate of 85 to 95 percent, and in post-mediation surveys, parties indicate very high levels of satisfaction with both the process and the results.

Telephone Mediation Available: When the logistics of scheduling a session are made challenging by the remote locations of the parties, telephonic mediation can be a solution. Phyllis Pollack has extensive experience conducting mediation sessions by telephone, and while it is not always ideal, it does have a good success rate.
